It looks like Vikraman and Vijaykanth have started work for their forthcoming film Mariyadhai; Vijaykanth is looking for suitable getups and Vikraman is busy finalizing the crew. Mariyadhai’s filming will probably start next month. In this film, Vijaykanth plays dual roles and will pair up with two heroines. While Meera Jasmine has been signed up for the film already, the search for another heroine is on. It will be finalized in the coming week.
In 2001, Vijaykanth and Vikraman joined hands and created a magic called Vaanathai Pola. The film – based on sentiments and emotions pertaining to a family – was an instant hit throughout Tamil Nadu. Now, the expectation of everyone has risen up with Vikraman declaring Mariyadhai will have a similar theme, as he is the best in portraying family drama.
Vijaykanth is on the verge of completing his part in Engal Aasan, which has paired him with Sheryl Pinto again. The fact that he made a name for himself in a period dominated by the twin stalwarts Rajni and Kamal and still manages to give hit films is astonishing and shows his calibre.
