Vijay TV has come with a different chat show "Sillunnu Oru Sandhippu" (Thursday, 10 p.m.) where the host, Charmila talks to achievers from different walks of life. The guests will talk about their success story and the person who made it happen. The guests will bring to the show one person who has inspired him/her the most and was their during difficult times. It could be their parent, spouse, mentor or fan. The guest list includes actor Madhavan, writer Balakumaran, Dr. Kamala Selvaraj, Dr.Geetha Haripriya, singer `Mahanadhi' Shobana', Paul Dinakar and many others.

Vedha is a film based on the real story of lovers who live in Singapore. Because, they were not successful in their love one of them gone mad. Vasu Bhasker who comes to know of the story has written the story, screen play of the film. R. Nithya Kumar, who is one-time Associate of the directors T.K.Bose, K.Subash, and S.J.Surya is writing the dialogues and directing the film.

Arun Vijay who is the hero of the film said that he expected postive results from this film. Arun who is on his way to the USA for higher studies in connection with learning of editing and other techniques said, that he would like to meet the real persons who were affected by the love. He said the film has some additional inputs like the music director Srikanth Deva and Vasu Bhasker dancing for a gana song of Gana Bala.He added that four new lyricist were introduced in the film with good lyrics will add the merit to the music direction of Srikanth Deva.He also said that most of the scenes were shot in Malaysia.

After completing the Film Making Course Arun Vijay wanted to produce his own film through his own company.

Amma Creations Vaazhthukkal directed by Seeman has to tell a lot about the responsibilities of the sons and daughters to look after their parents when there is a law very much in force. Seeman points out that many Tamils had forgotten their responsibility of taking care of their old aged parents.They simply leave them in orphanages or not all paying heed to their requests. Since, it is the world of urgency and creativity many find no time to look after their parents, says Seeman.

The film Vaazhthukkal tells that the people should love their parents. They must treat their parents just as they love themselves.

In this film Bhavana is an agricultural student who loves to do tilling the soil, since she happens to be a daughter of a farmer in a village. She falls in love with Madhavan who is a rich and a soft-ware engineer. Both falls in love with each other but forgets to understand each other. This create confusion in their love.

Seeman, finds a solution, however the horoscopes of boys and girls might agree, there is one more thing to be observed by the families of the boys and girls. Are their minds united? He suggess that this could be possible through the love marriages.

Playback Singer and film producer S.P.Balasubramaniam in a scathing attack about the present day music direction in films was nothing but what the duo M.S.Viswanathan and Ramamurthy had done in the past. The present day music directors had picked up, what the duo threw as wastes on the dust bins. Before uttering this word, he wanted everyone to apologise him for using the word. SPB came out publicly while eulogising the music directors who were honoured at the audio release function of the Tamil film Vellithirai produced jointly by Moserbaer and Duet Movies. During his speech SPB said, he had set right his Tamil diction after he visited the two for a chance who drove him out for his Tamil pronunciation was very bad then. Hence, with the desire to sing for films he started learning the language.

Prakash Raj who is acting in Velli Thirai decided to honour the veteran music directors and the playback singer P.B.Srinivos.

Speaking at the function Malayalam actor Mohan Lal has said, that he was happy over his film was produced in Tamil.

Lyricist Vairamuthu while praising the two music directors, said the two had set an example for the true friendship in their personal lives as well in music direction. Vairamuthu recalled that his lyrics in Roja, Dharmapathini would have the lyrics that would aptly represent the duo's music direction. Speaking at the function, the music director M.S.Viswanathan said that some decades ago Ilayaraja, Shankar and Vidya Sagar were all the members of the music family of MSV and Ramamurthy. When all were separated they become good music directors about which he felt happiness. He said that there was no age limit for music. There was a wrong notion prevailing, that
a particular song or songs may not suitable for a particular age or ages. He had seen a lot of songs were enjoyed by all age groups. MSV said, even now he could do music direction, provided that the songs must have matter and a good meter (payment of money). MSV said that he did not like having a separate function for himself. He said that the credit of becoming a music director was due to his colleague Ramamurthy who was a guidance in his life.

AVM Productions have decided to celebrate its Sivaji film's silver jubilee celebrations on Jan.11 at the Madras University Centenary Hall. The film was released in June last, had a successful run for more than 175 days in Chennai, Kancheepuram and Bangalore. Following its super hit, the producers have planned to honour the artistes and technicians. Most probably, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.Karunanidhi will participate as the chief guest of the function.

Even before the release of the Tamil film Mirugam, director Samy is now discussing with Telugu film producers to remake the film in Telugu. Samy knows well that the Tamil version is going to be a super hit but is confused with who should be the heroine of the film. In Tamil it was Padma Priya who had acted in the film later entered in a controversy over which the Film Producers Council banned the director from directing Tamil films for a year's time. The Tamil version of the film's hero is going to do the hero's of the Telugu version, it was learnt.

The general public and devotees of the Sriperumbudur Sri Adi Kesava Perumal Temple staged a protest against the shootings of the Indira Logathil Na.Azhagappan in which comedian Vadivelu appears in three different roles. The public started to protest when they saw a lot of banana leaves strewn on the outside of the temple. The devotees got angered on seeing those banana leaves contained with some food wastages was thrown near the Noorukal Mandapam where the festival of the Lord usually carried out.
They came to know all the banana leaves were thrown by the film unit people, including the comedian Vadivelu, who after finishing their morning breakfast. The people who came to know about the nuisance that was caused by the film unit, immediately began their protest not to carry the shootings of the film inside the temple and demanded to remove those banana leaves immediately from outside and put it in the waste baskets.They feared the similar nuisance might be caused by the film unit in the inside of the temple precinct if they allow the shooting to take place.

Hence, the entire film unit moved out of the temple. But, in the afternoon after getting permission from the HR&CE officials, the shooting went off peacefully.

A tamil book, 'Poonaigal Illadha Veedu', containing 11 short stories- all were written by Chandra-who has been an assistant to the director Ameer quite a long time. All these stories were published in various magazines and all compiled in book format was released recently by the ace director K.Bharathi Raja at a small function. The first copy was received by the director Ameer himself from Bharathi Raja.

After releasing the book the director K.Bharathi Raja in his valedictory address said that his cinema and Tamil had a close proximity of relationship, since he had been talking the Tamil literary through his medium of celluloid. And whereas the writers tell their literature through cinema. Bharathi Raja said that each and every young must have had some ambitions and dreams at the young age. Either they must have thought of becoming a writer, orator, politician or an artist. "But I came to cinema. As a writer I would have known to the public 50 years ago. But I am making my records by becoming a director".

When talking about the Poonaigal Illadha Veedu, the director said that after reading the book, he felt that still there were a lot of villagers faced with utter economic poverty problems and in a difficult situations to lead their lives. Bharathi Raja recalled his young days when his father was running under penury, he had to sell away his house and moved to a small house which had less comforts. His family faced poverty for more than 30 years till the birth of his sister. The director said, that the economic condition had not improved in villages.

Bharathi Raja said he had so far exhibited the beauty of villages, but failed to record the poverty lives of the villagers. " After reading the book I went back to my past life. Now I have completed 65 years. I wanted to become a grown up person when I was young. Now I want to become young man".
Becoming a film director was not an easy thing. When the Britishers called us 'Barbarians" gave no importance to us, I have become a film director from the backward village of Theni. Similarly, the writer who also hailed from the Theni district have become a great director and I wish her a good luck" said Bharathi Raja.

In the function writers Manushya Puthiran, Chari Niveditha, Kavignar Vennila, lyricst Naa.Muthukumar and Snehan all participated. Snehan was the compere of the function.

The director immediately asks "did you pose the same question to Vijaya T.Rajender who also writes lyrics and sometimes does the music direction too? A small temple for the God Muneeswarar is being constructed for the film Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moondram Aandu film directed by Mettioli fame Thirumurugan. Lyricist Vali has written a lyric for Pa.Vijay for the film Thai Kaaviyam. In the film the lyricist Pa.Vijay is introduced as hero. He wants a nice song when he is introduced in the film. Though he himself capable of writing lyrics, he wanted Vali to pen the lyrics. He knows very well, that if Vali writes the lyric, then it would click his role in the film. So with the idea Pa.Vijay approached Vali on the previous night, say around 9 PM, and requested him to write the lyric for him. Vali though old, promised him the song will be ready the next morning. As promised on the next day early morning, a phone call came to Vijay's house, and informed the lyric was ready. Startled by the phone call, Vijay hurried to the house of Vali and gratefully took the lyrics from him. There is a proposal to film the song scenes in China.

Story : Whether a dream will become true?


Review : Manivannan and Saranya wanted their son Ramesh to follow their foot steps of loving a girl and getting married. But Ramesh refused to do so. He put the onerous risk of seeing a bride for him on to their parents' shoulders. In the meanwhile, Ramesh goes to his friends marriage in a bus. On the way he dreams that as if he loves a girl Mallika Kapoor. But to his surprise, he sees the girl in his friend's marriage and immediately falls in love with her. In another day, he dreams as if his love marriage did not take place. He began to afraid this dream too might become true in his real life. Has he got married the girl?

The story tells that one need not fear over one's dream. Director G.V.Kumar has emphasised the true nature of dreams in a comedy way. The story and character of Jithan Ramesh is good and it is going to be a turning point. Though Mallika Kapoor is shown in good appearance, her character in the film is not aptly remarked with the story line.

However, Manivannan and Saranya have done their role well. Jithan Ramesh's comedy with Karunas has proved that G.V.Kumar has some stuff in elaborating the story with good narration.

Srikanth Deva music and Rajasekar's cinematography upgrade the merit of the cinema. Totally it is a film, when literally translated the title in English, The Tiger Is Coming could be called as The Tiger Is Jumping with its four legs.

The shooting of the film Sathyam was protested and stopped by the general public for sometime, after the stunt men literally beat a tempo driver on the National Highway near Maduravoyal.

According to sources, while the shootings of the film's fighting scenes were in progress, a tempo driver who was on his way to his house, hit one of the vehicles of the film's unit. The film unit had parked a lot of vehicles for its fighting scenes on the National High way without giving any provision for other vehicles to pass through. The innocent tempo driver when wanted to take his tempo to other side hit against one of the vehicles belonged to the film unit, it was learnt.

On hearing the hitting sound, the film's stunt men, immediately pulled the driver out from the tempo and beat him indiscriminately. The driver who could not tolerate the beatings of the stunt men, literally cried for help to save him. A mob who had been watching the pathetic incident at the shooting spot immediately started protesting the film unit from going in for further shooting of the film. They also demanded the stunt men to apologise to the tempo driver.

On coming to know the incident, the police immediately arrived at the spot but it took several hours for them to pacify the general public, it was learnt.

Similar, complaint was reported against the film's stunt man Kanal Kannan. Sometime ago, Kanal entered into an altercation with the film's hero Vishal, over which both of them literally fought with each other. The film's director Rajasekar intervened in the matter and set right the problem amicably , it is said.

Madha Creations Thalai Keezh is the story of a village boy who becomes student in a city college falls in love with a girl. Immediately, after his love the entire life changes and a lot of incidents take place and his life become miserable. This is the outline story of the film. Dharmarajan produces the film on behalf of Madha Creations and Rex Raj directs the film. In this film Rajesh is introduced as the hero of the film with Tejomaye and another heroine Niveda. Adhish Uthiriyan does the music of the film. The film is likely to be released on February 14 next year.

Director Shankar who has become popular by virtue of directing A.M.Rathnam's Indian recently met the producer. During the meeting Director Shankar promised that he would direct Ratnam's next film after the release of the Bheema. Shankar also knows, due to financial problems of the Suriya Movies AMR, the Bheema could not be released on time. Shankar wants to reciprocate his gratefulness by directing a film for AMR. Hence, he promised that he would do his next film with Ajith as hero of the film. Earlier, Ajith andA.M.Ratnam had some misunderstandings and this was wiped out by Director Shankar and Ajith himself had given his acceptance to act in the film.

Hence, the release of the Bheema for the coming Pongal festival is certain.

POOCHANDI LOVES CHILDREN


Insight Cinema and Sachin Creators jointly produce a film Poochandi. Poochandi is a person who loves children who has no parental guidance. The children too love him. 'Poochandi', the Tamil word normally is used to threaten children when they do mischief. But this film is entirely different.

Insight Cinema who has been doing business all these years by buying audio and video rights of various films, is entering its production business through this film. The film, is to be produced with a lot of new faces including old time actors. Vijay Raj is going to music direct the film for the lyrics of Snehan, Vairamuthu, Punniya, Kurunanidhi. The shooting of the film likely to commence in the near future.

On the subamuhurat day of this film inaugural function, many orphanage children were brought to the studio and a magic show was performed for them to enjoy.

V.T.Janardhanan, Sai and Ganesan all produce the film. The one-time-assistant of Praveen Kanth and A.R.Murugadoss Asokraj is directing the film.

Pirivom Sandhipom is a film has no violence and no fights. For the first time, in the history of Tamil films, Producer Karu Palaniappan in his fourth film has handled the film's story in such a way that no one should raise questions for not showing calamities or anything that might wound the minds of others. Sometime, the history of films called Golden Era and Karu is heading for this era through non-violence though he does not belong to the Gandhism.

Pirivom Sandhipom has no vulgar scenes and no one shown as bad character in this film. How then the film will be success? ask many. But, Karu has the knack of producing such films which could be viewed with family members and making the audience to sit tightly in their chairs without making them move for a puff of air or for coffee.

According to the producer, the life itself is a complicated one. In this life, all are good and no one is bad. But according to circumstances they caught in the web of problems. But viewing human life from other side, the life could be spent without any problems. How? That is what the Pirivom Sandhipom tells us.

The problem of Sneha in this film starts even before three months of her marriage. And the problem pulls on for another six more months after the marriage. This is mileage of the film's story. Karu tells that just as a person in his mother's womb rests for ten months to come out to this world, the story of the Pirivom Sandhipom is filmed with the problems of Sneha's before marriage and after her marriage.

In this film Karu has introduced new faces which can't be counted along with popular artistes like Cheran, Jayram and Sneha. In this film Cheran is an Electrical Engineer working in the department of Electricity and Sneha is an educated but unemployed.

Karu also tells the film story not only revolves around Sneha and Cheran but it is a conglomeration of many individuals' stories. The heavy weight of the story is ultimately shouldered by each and every individual actor who act in the film. Karu calls it that it is a car festival in which all the people living in a village pulls the car of a temple. He says it is Therottam.

The entire shooting of the film was shot in semi-urban area like Karaikudi to Pollachi, beside some scenes were filmed in Hyderabad. Pirivom Sandhipom was filmed in 79 film roles and the film unit had spent 69 days to complete the entire film.

There are six songs in the film with fine tuning and penned in good Tamil with literary background like Adukku Thodar (alliteration), Andhadhi (four line songs), Sankeera Ani, Thanmaiyani, Uvamaiani.

Super 35 Technique which has been in vogue for action films was used in this film for the family story.

Karu says, in the Pirivom Sandhipom there are only one song sequence to which the actress had given lip movement. The other songs are shown along with important scenes of the film. While there is a system in vogue that any producer would take liberty to do fighting scenes and songs sequences as per his wishes which sometime override the natural scene of the film.

If anyone asks Sneha which film she likes most in which she had done her role exceedingly well, she would say Parthiban Kanavu. Now, after the release of this film she would include this Pirivom Sandhipom film also.

When there are many producers who want to produce films by keeping profit as motto this film is an exception for the producers M.Subaskaran and Raju Mahalingam of the Gnanam Films.

The film is likely to be released for the Pongal. Music Director Vidya Sagar and Cinematographer M.S.Prabhu and lyricists Kabilan, Yuga Bharathi and Jayantha have contributed their excellent skill for the film. Story, Screen Play, dialogues and direction are all handled by Karu Palaniappan.

He says the film will have the contents only for the children and most of the children will be acting in the film. Mumai Khan after acting in Dr Rajasekaran's Udambu Eppadi Irukku film as Mysamma Police Officer role, expected that the character would bring her luck to do a lot of character roles in her next films. Upset by the failure of the film, she wanted again to become an item-song-dancer, because, many of her fans expected her dance in films. Following the Censor Board removing the bull-fight scenes due to the Animal Welfare Board of India's force in the recently released Mirugam film, the entire film unit observed a fast on Tuesday,opposing the ban of the scene. The film, Mirugam, revolves around a village macho ruffian who ends up becoming an AIDS patient, not because of the bull-fight but due to his own nefarious activities with various innocent girls.

Aadhi, the hero of the film along with producer Karthik Jai and director Samy and other crew members, observed a fast before the government guest house in Chepauk to mark his protest. Karthik Jai told reporters that there should be "no ban of any kind on portraying a sport like jallikattu. Jallikattu is a local sport of bravery and there should be no ban on showing it in films in the future" he said.

The hero and the producer, furious over the Board's action, had threatened to take out a half naked protest march on Christmas day but it was later dropped with the crew opting to observe a fast. According to the crew, the deleted scenes were crucial to the film and had to be removed to obtain a censor certificate to screen in theaters. Even before the film's release, the film had its own share of controversy with Padma Priya, the lead actress of the film, walking out of the sets after being slapped by director Samy for reasons known to him.

And following a complaint from the actress, the Producers' Council after a thorough investigation banned the director from directing any Tamil films for a year's time.

The director's earlier film Uiyer, the story of a woman trying to seduce her brother-in-law, also ran into controversy.

When he produced the Tamil film Thambi, he used the actor R.Madhavan name as Ra.Madhavan in Tamil. Sreeman used Madhavan's initial denoting his father's name Rangasamy. On coming to know that his name appeared as Madhavan in Tamil, he told the director the very fact that the film would be flop, since, he used the Tamil in the title card that too his initials as 'Ra'. But to his suprise, the film ran successfully, said the director.

He also wondered that most of the artistes who had acted in Tamil films, were signing in English. He said, the artistes should cultivate the habit of signing in Tamil language for the upliftment of the language.

Director Balaji Sakthivel's Kalloori is no exception for emotional love and sentiments attached. It is about a group of school friends in a village in Madurai who join the same college and the emotion shared by them forms the crux of the story. A modern girl, (Tamanna) highly qualified also join in the bandwagon of the village friends. The film is bereft of comedy but it revolves around the story that happens inside the campus of the college. The film is catapulted to the success ladder with the matured performances of the new entrants as actors in weighty roles. Even small characters like hero's sister, moslem girl who lost her father, and the hero who though not making friendship with the idea of loving the girl, and incourse of thick friendship, there is every chance that friends become husbands and wives are shown beautifully in the film. Balaji has pinpointedly had shown where the neck of the bottle for love and intercaste marriages.
However, it is sad on the part of the producer to remind the Dharmapuri bus burning incident in this film, has given restlessness while the film was viewed. Aftermath there was no sympathy for the Tamanna who dies in the bus burining incident and the story there stops with the pledge taking ceremony of other students including the fellow who loved her.

Newcomers Akhil, Hemalatha, Balamurugan and Tamanna had essayed their roles with credibility. Being newcomers, the lead characters do not carry an image tag with them. They simply live the characters. Hemalatha as Kayal stands out.
Muthu (Akhil), an aspiring athlete, along with his school friends Kayal (Hemalatha), Ramesh (Balamurugan) and few others join Government Arts College. The new entrant to their gang is Shobana (Tamanna), who hails from a rich family. The friends help each other during times of crisis and live a happy life until Shobana develops a soft corner towards Muthu.
Totally, though the film portrays the true friendships of the college students, it never left our film producers, that once a close friend might be a life partner. But, unfortunately, the heroine dies even before she comes out of her mind the love she has for Muthu.
Muthu too loves her but he is an unlucky fellow to marry the white skinned Tamanna.

Music Maestro Ilyaraja is going to music direct for an animation film on Lord Ayyappa. The animation film will tell the entire history of the Lord Ayyappa so as to assimilate the story of the Lord from younger generations to old. The subamuhurat of the film was recently inaugurated by the Kerala Education Minister M.A.Baby, by lighting the kuthuvilakku in the function. If Ilayaraja music directs this animation film, it will be his second animation film. Earlier he did music direction for Inime Nangadhan. Kerala film industry's famous writer Krishna Kumar wrote the Screen Play and dialogues of the film while Reji Shine directed the film. The film was produced by Sai Raksha Entertainment, a Bangalore based company.

"I am a commercial producer and I love to produce films only for commercial success" says director Hari. The director says there are a lot of directors like Mani Rathinam, Shankar, Bala and Ameer who take the films to give them a new lease of life. But Hari wants to produce only commercial films and he says that there was not even a single person to produce commercial films. " I always wanted to produce commercial films with my own screen plays for the success of my films", says Hari. Hari has confidence to produce commercial films with his brother-in-law Arun Vijay. He says, that if the time comes for it he would be joining with Arun Vijay to produce his own film.

"After seeing MGR and Shivaji Ganesan in historical films, a desire had settled down in me to do those roles. And now the Indira Logathil Na.Azhagappan had given me the chance to fulfill those desire" said Comedian Vadivelu at the audio cassette release function of the Indira Logathil Na.Azhagappan. In his address he said, he had put on more weight to do three roles in the film to be released soon. He also said, he had worn costumes with heavy weights to earn good name. " I was wandering here and there, but I have made as hero. The more the weightage of role I have, I started to fear that I must keep my good name" said Vadivelu.

Earlier the cassette was released by Vijay, Suriya, Rama Narayanan, and Simbhu was received by a group of children.

During Sneha's speech, she vouched that Vadivelu was a good actor and whenever she went abroad, she used to carry the CDs of the actor to enjoy in those countries.

Suriya in his speech said, that Vadivelu had set a trend in his career. Suriya recalled that he would burst out with laughter whenever he had acted with the comedian on several occasions. He wished that the Indira Logathil Na.Azhagappan would be a super hit film.

Mirukam film director Samy who was barred from directing Tamil films for a year's time is not in talking terms with Padma Priya who had brought a dispute against the director. When contacted, the director told, that Padma Priya had done her role well and he said that her acting in Mirukam was 90 percent appreciable. However, the director said, had she listened to his instructions without any infights the film would have come up well. But, the director is happy over the outcome of the Mirukam release and he said that many people wanted his direction in the Tamil film and expected that soon his punishment would be waived by them.

When talking about the film's story, that once he saw literally a pregnant woman was beaten up by her husband. The incident, he said, had settled down all those years and he wanted to utilise the scene when the opportune knocks him. Similarly, he was moved by the Ratha Kanneer film. That was also his second incident, which he wanted to use it in some other way. The director reasoned out the birth of the story Mirukam to a group of newsmen.

Now, Samy is concentrating on some other stories. Soon he is going to produce other film based on love. He wants the familiar faces for his film. He said he had another option, that if any actors or actresses refuse to act in his next film, he would simply go with the production with new faces.

What is the reason for the delay in filming the Tamil film Ayerathil Oruvan ? Ayerathil Oruvan director Selvaraghavan says, the film could not be completed as per the budget. The expenditure of the film had gone beyond the allotted money to produce the film. In the film, Paruthi Veeran Karthik is the hero. Recently, the shooting unit went to Kerala forest area to shoot the film. More than 500 film unit members participated in the schedule. But, due to incessant rain in the forest the scenes of the film could not be shot and the producer had to burn his fingers heavily, since, he had to make payments to all those who did their work. Says the director," Even before, the shooting commenced, I have narrated the story to the producer, who had accepted that the shooting be carried out in forest area. Hence, for the heavy expenditure, I should not be blamed. It was due to the nature calamities, the shooting did not take place for more than 15 days".

Many say that any film with Karthi as actor would have some problems before its release, but the film would be success after its release. This they say citing his first film's incident which also faced some problems before its release.

However, there was no dispute between the producer and the director, Selvaraghavan says.

Former Miss World and Bollywood actor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Thursday said all the actors in the movie 'Jodha Akbar' have done the film with 'full passion' and hoped that the movie would be a hit.

The actor, who was here to launch the Nakshatra New Winter Wedding Collection of diamond jewellery here, told reporters after the launch that movies like Jodha Akbar, were very "tricky" with regard to audiences accepting it.

Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan are playing the leadroles in the movie.

Responding to a query that films like 'Asoka' have not gone onto become hits in recent times, she said "At certain times certain films do well...certain films do not do that well. It's a very tricky thing."

The daughter-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan, said working for the Hollywood movie 'Pink Panther' was a 'fantastic experience'. "There were so many stars...it was really anamazing experience," the actress said.

Aishwarya, who is married to Abhishek Bachchan, said "I am enjoying my current phase in life. Being married...it's an incredible thing in life."

Asked about one memorable moment during the shooting of the song 'Tere Bina' in Maniratnam's 'Guru' here, she said the whole song was shot at night. "We shot the song all night. Mani wanted to shoot songs at day break and he wanted the song to be taken in one-take," she said.

She also said she would love to do more Tamil films. "There's a lot of talent here that I would love to work with. But the possibility of accepting projects is time defined."

More than hundreds of leading film artistes from the Tamil Nadu left for Malaysia to perform Star Nite in on December 21. Another Star Nite is to be held on December 23 in Singapore. Some artistes feared that due to the Tamils' unrest in the Malaysia, some worst might happen if the Tamil film artiste come over there to perform Star Nite. But nothing had happened, and a visitor who arrived this morning said, the Star Nite was happy. The stars staged drama, dances and mimicory shows and the Tamils living in Malaysia were happy. There are more than 40 dancers under Dance Master Kala had the training to perform it on the stages of Malaysia and Singapore. Except Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan other leading participated in the function.

Kadhal Sandhya will be acting for a Kannada film to be directed by Shoban. He has been a Telugu film director who directed the Telugu Film Varsham in which Sandhya had acted. In Kannada she is doing the role with Punit Rajakumar. The shooting of the film starts from January next in Bangalore. Says Kadhal Sandhaya that she wants to speak the Kannada language and has been practising the language with proper diction.
