The shootings of the ITC Productions Kangalum Kavi Paadudhey are over. According to the film's director K.Chander Nath, the film's story is a family subject would attract all age groups.

Chander Nath had been an Associate of Director P.Vasu for over thirty years has introduced three heroes and three heroines in the film. Earlier he did direction for Arathi Edungadi, Veerapandi Kottaiyele and in Kannda he did Dharma with the hero Darshan. This is his ninth film.

In Kangalum Kavi Paadudhey he has introduced Rajik, Akash and Rathan as heroes. He has also introduced Mridhula, Likitha and Lakshana respectively for the new face heroes.

Many say the main hero of the film is the music maestro Iliya Raja who did tuning to five songs and all have become hits. Lyricist Kanndasan's daughter Visali Manoharan has written songs for the film. It is expected that she has started to fulfill her father's place which has been remaining ever since Kannadasan breathed his last. The shootings of the film were shot in Chennai, Karaikal, Thiruvidaimarudhur, Thirukalacheri and Palur. Selvakumar handles the camera of the film and the editing is done by Suresh Urs. PRO of the film is Mounam Ravi. Story, Screen Play, Dialogues and Direction of the film all are handled by K.Chander Nath himself. The producers of the film are K.G.Rangamani, P.Nanda Kumar and P.Ramesh.
