Director Sreeman in his recent address in a function has appealed to all the film artistes to sign in Tamil, since, most of the artistes were acting in Tamil films but signing in English had disturbed his conscience. When he produced the Tamil film Thambi, he used the actor R.Madhavan name as Ra.Madhavan in Tamil. Sreeman used Madhavan's initial denoting his father's name Rangasamy. On coming to know that his name appeared as Madhavan in Tamil, he told the director the very fact that the film would be flop, since, he used the Tamil in the title card that too his initials as 'Ra'. But to his suprise, the film ran successfully, said the director.

He also wondered that most of the artistes who had acted in Tamil films, were signing in English. He said, the artistes should cultivate the habit of signing in Tamil language for the upliftment of the language.
